"You wanna' pizza me?" Today's inspiration? Two of my favorite things, pizza and a chevron stripe. I wanted to practice a look that takes an object and builds a word inside of it. I just so happened to have pizza today for lunch and was sitting in my living room while eating it. My living room has a chevron carpet in its center. The two together really caught my eye and made me think of the lines they could create when working in unison. So, here is what I came up with: I still haven't decided which style I like better, fill or no fill, but I do like the design. It might even look good to drag the z's down to connect with each other and the p. This would keep everything connected and eliminate the need for the dot on the i. I enjoy the clean lines in this design, and that I cleaned up the page and erased my ruled lines. There's something about that more finished look that is so satisfying. For sake of reference, here are a couple of photos at the start of the design: See what I mean? The cleanup makes such a difference...or maybe it's just me.
