And, even though I was able to take letters & simple words and stylize them, I never really did much with creating a “full” piece. Partly because a few blogs in, I realized that I could only really dedicate about an hour to each blog and with that time-limit, I never felt like a design was able to be totally realized. In continuing this hand-lettering journey, I will probably split work for a full piece over a couple of days, just so I can complete a design that in my mind would be ready to sell. I also would like to practice hand-lettering using a Wacom tablet, which during these past 40 days, I had not had the chance to do.

Overall, I loved the experience of trying something I had never done before, even on the days that I felt like I just couldn’t keep up or that the work I had done was not good enough. The fact remains that all the work I did was “good enough.” At least for that moment in time until the next days hand-lettering venture. Moving forward, I hope to keep pushing myself in this manner and ultimately become the best possible version of me within my Graphic Design journey. Peace and Love, Renee

Day 40

https://www.reneefraticelli.com/blog/day-40

https://www.reneefraticelli.com/blog/day-40#comments

Uncategorized

The final hand-lettering blog. Phew! I made it! It's short and sweet, but exactly where I needed to land to keep moving forward. PEACE OUT [...]

The final hand-lettering blog. Phew! I made it! It's short and sweet, but exactly where I needed to land to keep moving forward.

PEACE OUT

Day 39

https://www.reneefraticelli.com/blog/day-39

https://www.reneefraticelli.com/blog/day-39#comments

Uncategorized

"Ain't nothin' but a G thang baybay" Original Stained Glass Bas Relief Back to the letter G, my homie. I decided to explore adobe fonts and find what G I wanted to replicate. The "favorite" after a quick browse...Memoriam (Canada Type). Interesting that I landed on this one as I am french-canadian. No wonder why I liked it ;).
